I took a series of online workshops in July entitled "The Pedagogy of Play." It was presented by the amazing Fairy Dust Teaching. Saying I found it inspiring would be an huge understatement. The concepts spoke directly to my teacher heart and soul. I knew I must instantly begin the process of improving my program and my environments. I started collecting. First I collected pallets then logs then wooden boxes, baskets, spools large and spools small, etc. Here is my first creation for my outdoor environment. The mud kitchen. It was popular, but when I added running water to the little faucet the squeals of delight told me I had nailed it! The afternoon's were so hot that I also added camo netting over head. Score one for the teacher! Actually, we all win!
